Mentoring Program for Women in the Energy Sector 2021

To advance the role of women as agents of change, the Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET) in partnership with the secretariat of the German-Tunisian energy Partnership on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines is launching a new mentoring program.

The newly launched mentoring programme “Energising Women to Advance the Energy Transition” aims to advance the careers of mid-career women working in the energy transition across select countries under the German bilateral energy partnerships.

The application criteria for participants are as follows:

  • Must be a national from one of the following regions/countries:
    • MENA: Tunisia, Algeria, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia
    • LAC: Brazil, Chile, Mexico
    • Ethiopia and South Africa
    • China
    • India
  • Must be a woman working in the renewable energy or energy efficiency field
  • Must work in a middle management position (5 - 10 years of relevant work experience)

Applications close on Sunday 28th March 2021.

Timeline

March: Launch of applications

April: Selection of 8-10 mentees per country and matchmaking with mentors
