Intergovernmental meetings in Tunis December 2019

From 04 to 06 December, Ellen von Zitzewitz who is responsible for the German-Tunisian Energy Partnership at Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy/BMWi), visited Tunisia for meetings with her Tunisian counterparts. The journey was an opportunity for all relevant partners to exchange and discuss future paths for the Partnership.

As part of the journey, Mrs. von Zitzewitz met with representatives of all parties participating in the German-Tunisian partnership, namely the Ministry of Industry and Small and Medium Enterprises (MIPME) as well as the national energy agency (ANME) and the Tunisian company of electricity and gas (STEG). In addition to that, numerous meetings were scheduled, for example with representatives of the German embassy, the German development bank KfW and the Tunisian chamber of photovoltaic installers (CSPV).

One highlight was the local business advisory council where German businesses which are active in the Tunisian energy sector got together to exchange on the latest developments and discuss current challenges.
