2nd Phase of Energy Transition

The Secretariat of the Tunisian-German Energy Partnership, implemented by GIZ, organized on Wednesday 14 December 2016 the 6th Tunisian-German Energy Day with the theme of "The second phase of the energy transition".

More than 250 people representing the public and private sectors as well as civil society attended the German-Tunisian Energy Day, an important annual energy conference in Tunisia.

Opening speeches were delivered by Ms Héla Cheikhrouhou, Tunisian Minister for Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies, Mr Andreas Reinicke, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr Wolfdieter Böhler, Director of International Energy Politics at the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi) and Mr. Abdelziz Halleb, President of the Federation of Electricity, Electronics and Electrical Appliances (FEDELEC) of the Tunisian Employers' Association UTICA.

This conference was an opportunity to discuss energy policies in Germany and Tunisia, to promote the energy transition and marked an important milestone in the Tunisian-German Energy Partnership.
